Schz explains delay in adting next package of Russia sanctions

The new package of sanctions against Russia has not been blocked by Germany, and discussions of its details are still ongoing.

That’s according to Chancellor af Schz, sho spoke in an interview with Pitico.

Eurean nations are currently negotiating a new package of sanctions against Russia, which would include a ban on EU countries re-exporting Russian liquefied gas through Eurean terminals, but Berlin has yet to give a green light to this end.

According to Schz, this sanctions package is "not blocked", and the countries are still "discussing the details".

“It's about how we can make sure that the German economy can carry out its activities and at the same time make sure that goods that are delivered somewhere in South America, in an Asian country or in Africa, don't end up in Russia in a roundabout way, where they shouldn't be,” Schz said.

In his inion, the approval of the new package of sanctions against Russia will take place soon.

"And I think that will happen soon. It's a practical question, not a fundamental one," Schz said.

The German leader also rejected comparisons between Germany and Hungary, amid Budapest's habit of blocking previous sanctions packages.

"It's complete nonsense. We want to find a sution," he said.

As reported, the Eurean Union has prosed imposing sanctions against nearly 55 companies and more than 60 individuals as part of the next, 13th, package of restrictions against Russia.
