Rutte 'fully trusts' Trump's ability to achieve peace in Ukraine
He said this in an interview with CNN ahead of Trump's upcoming conversation with Vladimir Putin, as reported by Ukrinform.
Rutte praised the ceasefire agreement between the US and Ukraine reached during recent talks in Saudi Arabia, calling it a “significant step.”
The NATO chief also rejected claims that Trump was too trusting of Putin, adding: “He knows President Putin very well from his first term. So he understands how to make sure that a deal can be made. I have complete confidence in that.”
