The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed a massive missile strike on the territory of Ukraine using various types of weapons, including the Oreshnik missile.
This is stated on the department's Telegram page.
The Russian agency stated that the strike was allegedly carried out in response to “Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian objects on the territory of the Russian Federation.”
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attack also used Iskander, Kinzhal, Zircon missiles, air-, sea-, and land-based cruise missiles, as well as strike drones.
The department stated that the targets of the strike were military command facilities, an air base, and enterprises of the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine.
The Russian side also claims that “all identified objects were hit.”
