Putin arrived on a visit to China

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin arrived in China for a two-day visit.

This is reported by TASS.

At Beijing airport, Putin was met by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, an honor guard, and a group of Chinese schoolchildren and students.

According to Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov, Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will discuss the most pressing international issues “over tea.”

Also, during the Russian president's visit to China, the signing of about 40 documents on cooperation is planned.

The trip comes shortly after Donald Trump completed the first visit by a US president to China in nearly a decade on May 15.

Trump arrived in Beijing on May 13. More than a dozen executives from American companies flew to China with him, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

On May 14, US President Donald Trump met with President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in Beijing. They discussed trade between the countries, the US war against Iran and other conflicts, and Taiwan.

Following his visit to Beijing, Trump said that China would buy oil from the United States. China did not comment on Trump's statement.
