Parliamentary leaders from 17 European and EU countries arrive in Ukraine
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Today, Kyiv welcomes parliamentarians from all over the continent,” Stefanchuk noted.
The delegation consists of speakers and vice-speakers of the parliaments of Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Panama, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, as well as representatives of the European Parliament.
According to Stefanchuk, this visit serves as a clear symbol of support, solidarity and trust.
“I am grateful to my colleagues for their willingness to stand by Ukraine. We value every gesture, every meeting, every word and every action that brings us closer to the victory of justice and lasting peace. Ukraine feels the support of its partners, and this is inspiring,” he emphasized.
As reported, three years ago, on March 31, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Bucha in the Kyiv region. During the month of occupation by Russian troops, 381 local residents were killed, of whom 281 died in battle.
