Parliament will not consider staff replacements in defense sector this week – Arakhamia

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, will not consider staff replacements in the defense sector this week.

Davyd Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the Pele parliamentary faction, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"There will be no staff replacements in the defense sector this week," he wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, Davyd Arakhamia earlier said that Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov would head the Ministry of Defense, while current Defense Minister eksii Reznikov would be transferred to the position of minister for strategic industries. In addition, acting Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and acting Security Service Chief Vasyl Maliuk will be appointed to permanent positions.

However, Minister of Defense eksii Reznikov stated President Vodymyr Zelensky had not spoken to him about his possible appointment as minister for strategic industries, noting if he had received such an offer, he would have refused.
