The organizers of the 2026 Paralympic Games brought the flag of the Ukrainian national team to the opening ceremony despite the boycott of the entire Ukrainian delegation.
The opening ceremony of the 2026 Paralympic Games took place on Friday, March 6. The Ukrainian team did not participate in the celebrations due to the presence of representatives of Russia and Belarus.
In addition, the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine announced in a statement that the entire national team would ignore the opening ceremony. The statement also noted that Ukraine demands that the national flag not be used at the celebrations.
