Nemchinov meets with head of Eurean program INTER PARES

Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers eh Nemchinov discussed with INTER PARES Program Manager Jonathan Murphy the government's re in approximating legislation to EU law and coordination between the Cabinet and the Verkhovna Rada.

He announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"During the meeting, they discussed the re of the government in approximating legislation to EU law, coordination between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the re of the government in lawmaking," Nemchinov wrote.

According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers is actively engaged in lawmaking, with 615 bills submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, 201 adted, and 53 passed in the first reading. In addition, the government ensures that draft laws submitted to the parliament by other subjects of the right of legislative initiative are examined.

Nemchinov emphasized that establishing a constructive dialogue within the framework of coeration between the government and the Verkhovna Rada on the platforms of parliamentary committees allows explaining certain provisions, approaches to draft laws, arguing their position to find a common inion, and coordinating positions.

The meeting was also attended by Vodymyr Kondrachuk, coordinator of the Public Administration Reform section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, and eh Voitovych, Deputy State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The INTER PARES project aims to promote representative and inclusive democracy around the world and in partner countries, in particular through peer-to-peer interaction and the Team Eure approach, which promotes exchange and mutual learning among EU member states' parliaments, as well as partnerships between parliaments around the world. The project is managed by the Eurean Commission in coordination with the Eurean External Action Service and the Eurean Parliament.
