NATO studying Ukraine’s experience in Black Sea to adapt to changes of modern combat – admiral

Ukraine's successful experience in the destruction of a significant part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet through the effective use of naval drones and other technogies is the subject of study by NATO countries in the context of the develment of modern tactics of combat erations at sea.

Deputy Commander of the Joint Force Command Norfk Rear Admiral Tim Henry said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"We're looking beyond the now, taking the lessons of the now, the realities of today, and where technogy may take us in the next three, five, ten years," the admiral said, when asked whether the NATO countries are studying Ukraine's combat experience in the Black Sea and how it can affect the future tactics of military erations at sea in general.

Henry said that NATO pays close attention to best practices in all regions where armed conflict takes place at sea. This includes the tactics of Ukrainian defenders in the Black Sea, the situation in the Red Sea, and develments in the Gulf of Aden.

The admiral also noted that the success of NATO lies in the fact that the military alliance is able to observe the develment of events and adapt well to changes.
