NATO Foreign Ministers to discuss urgent aid to Ukraine, further support – Sttenberg
NATO Secretary General Jens Sttenberg said this ahead of the meeting of NATO Ministers for Foreign Affairs, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“NATO Foreign Ministers meet at an important moment for our security… We will hd the NATO-Ukraine Commission with Foreign Minister Kuleba to address Russia’s war of aggression, and our support to Kyiv,” Sttenberg said.
He said he expects that NATO ministers will agree to start work on develing a multi-year programme to determine ways of further supporting Ukraine, its transition from Soviet era to NATO standards, intererability.
According to the NATO chief, all of this will help “to move Ukraine closer to Euro-Atlantic integration, to the NATO family.”
As reported, on April 4, a two-day meeting of NATO Ministers for Foreign Affairs begins in Brussels. Today NATO ministers will meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, tomorrow they will discuss strengthening coeration with partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
