Minsk not invite OSCE observers to “parliamentary elections”

The Lukashenko regime will not invite OSCE observers to monitor the so-called "elections" to the House of Representatives and local councils on February 25.

That’s according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Ukrinform reports.

"Belarus will refrain from inviting OSCE observers to the parliamentary elections," the report reads.

The Lukashenko regime accused the West of "illegal sanctions picy" and "attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the OSCE condemned massive viations of human rights, torture, and cruel treatment of peaceful protesters by the Belarus authorities during the rigged presidential elections on August 9, 2020. The Organization then called on the Lukashenko regime to annul the results of the voting due to viations committed at all stages of the electoral process and to hd another real presidential election based on international standards.
