“No gifts or rewards should be given to the aggressor to appease him. Only strength and unity can force Russia to stop the war,” he wrote on Sunday.
Sibikha noted that any concession encourages further aggression, which is why Ukraine confidently adheres to its principles and values.
“We remain committed to building a just and lasting peace based on the UN Charter and international law, together with our US and European allies,” the minister said.

Ukrinform reported that on Saturday, August 9, a meeting of representatives of the ERA, Ukraine and the United States was held in the UK, organized by British Foreign Secretary David Lammy and US Vice President James David Vance to discuss achievements in ensuring a just and lasting peace.
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet in Alaska on August 15. The White House said a potential territorial swap was under discussion.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready for real solutions that can bring peace, but Ukrainians will not give up their land to the occupiers.
