Markarova tells of preparations for meetings of Zelensky, Trump teams

The Embassy of Ukraine in the United States is working on a series of meetings between the teams of President Vodymyr Zelensky and President Donald Trump.

This was reported by Ambassador Oksana Markarova in an interview with Suspilne, Ukrinform saw.

"We always prepare both meetings and calls. It takes certain time. Ukraine has much more contacts (in the team of the new U.S. president – ed.) than other countries do," the diplomat said when asked if this also implies a meeting of the two presidents.

She added that the embassy is in good contact with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, with whom the Ukrainian mission had been working even before Donald Trump was elected.
