Kuleba to attend NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting in Brussels
This will be the first meeting of the commission at the level of foreign ministers with Ukraine's participation since 2017, Ukrinform reports, citing the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
"The Ukrainian foreign picy chief will hd important negotiations in the context of preparations for the NATO summit in Vilnius in July," the ministry said.
Kuleba will also discuss in detail steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, including new arms supplies and ammunition production, increased sanctions pressure on Russia, the creation of a special tribunal for its crime of aggression against Ukraine, and humanitarian aid.
During the visit, the Ukrainian foreign minister will also hd separate bilateral meetings with NATO Secretary General Jens Sttenberg, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Picy Joseph Borrell, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mara Gabriel, as well as the foreign ministers of partner countries.
Since 2017, Hungary has been blocking meetings of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the ministerial level, demanding that Ukraine change its picy regarding the rights of Hungarian minorities.
