Kuleba calls on Asian countries to support Ukraine, abandon neutrality
This was stated by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, who spoke via videoconference at the event of the Harvard University Asia Center, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Two words I hear from Asian cleagues a bit more than I would like are 'sidarity' and 'neutrality.' They express sidarity with Ukraine, for which we are grateful, but declare neutrality towards us and Russia. At the same time, there can be no question of neutrality when it comes to aggression, murder, terror, rape, looting, and mass atrocities. Asian nations should take a clear stance in support of Ukraine and the UN Charter," Kuleba emphasized, according to the readout posted in Ukrainian.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed his belief that the global division into Global South and North is artificial. Instead, universal for all values are the principles of the UN Charter, which must be protected from imperialism.
"The new imperialism is no longer just knocking on the door, it is knocking it out. All because for decades, the world had a blind spot the size of Russia. Fortunately, that's a thing of the past. Russia will lose the war – not only against Ukraine, but also against modernity, reason, and common sense," he said.

The minister emphasized that Ukraine would win and that Russia would need "a generation to pass to get out of the he it has driven itself into." The main lesson will be that "aggression yields no results", which will be equally relevant for the western, eastern, southern, and northern parts of the world.
"It is still possible to avoid a clash of civilizations. A world in which countries support each other is still relevant. If we can protect freedom together, then we can also face other challenges: climate change, food crisis, and global inequality," Kuleba concluded.
As reported earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with TV8 Mdova that for the West, the settlement plan is about Ukraine's victory, to which there is no alternative.
