Japan is closely monitoring how Russia is paying DPRK for missiles it provided
According to Ukrinform's own correspondent in New York, this was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday by Deputy Permanent Representative of Japan to the UN Mitsuko Shino.
The transfer of these weapons is a clear viation of UN Security Council resutions, she reminded.
In addition, the supply of weapons from North Korea to Russia "supports Russia's aggressive war and increases the suffering of the Ukrainian pele," she added.
"We continue to closely monitor what North Korea receives in return," the Japanese diplomat said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, despite numerous UN Security Council resutions, Russia receives weapons from North Korea.
The UN Panel of Experts of the Committee on Sanctions against North Korea, which monitored compliance with the sanctions regime against the country and whose continuation in the UN Security Council was vetoed by Russia, ceased its work on 30 April after the end of its mandate.
As reported by Ukrinform, the UN Security Council met on Friday, 7 June, to discuss the humanitarian situation in Ukraine in connection with the intensification of Russian shelling of the Kharkiv region.
