The National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine has issued a statement complaining about “systematic pressure” from the International Paralympic Committee.
The organization cited four examples of “negative manifestations” directed at the Ukrainian delegation during its stay at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.
- The Ukrainian national team was forced to remove the national flag from the building.
“The team has displayed [it] in the residence halls at the last four Paralympic Games — without objection from the IPC leadership and the Organizing Committee.”
“Some time after the flag was placed, a representative of the Organizing Committee appeared and forced it to be removed. When the team asked why and on what basis in the regulations this was done, there was no answer.”
The NPK added that in the end, the team was allowed to place the flag “where it is less visible.”
