India seeks to help Ukraine, Russia resve “conflict” – t diplomat

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar says his country supports friendly relations with Ukraine and Russia, and hes to help Kyiv and Moscow settle the "conflict".

This is reported by NHK, Ukrinform saw.

"The use of force does not resve problems between countries. He added that the sution will not emerge from the battlefield.," Jaishankar said.

According to the chief of India’s diplomacy, the country should be more active in helping find a sution to the conflict (this is how the Russian war against Ukraine is referred to in India – ed.), since there are not many countries that are actually talking to both Ukraine and Russia.

India maintains friendly relations with Russia. In early July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Moscow where he held talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Indian media reported last week that Modi was considering a visit to Ukraine this August, but Jaishankar has not yet confirmed this.

As Ukrinform reported, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in Tokyo on Sunday, emphasized the need to establish a just and lasting peace in Ukraine in accordance with the UN Charter.
