“Important day for security”: Zelensky arrives in Munich

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Munich for a security conference.

He stated this on his Telegram page.

Zelenskyy said that the plans include creating the first joint Ukrainian-German enterprise for the production of drones.

“We need more of our joint productions, more of our resilience, more coordination and effectiveness of our common security architecture in Europe,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

He added that the main goal of these steps is to end the war with a dignified peace and create reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and all of Europe so that no country on the continent is left without protection.

In addition to launching the joint venture, Zelenskyy's program includes a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings with partners aimed at strengthening defense and economic cooperation.

Recall that on February 11, it became known that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, at the head of the Ukrainian delegation, will participate in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, which will be held from February 13 to 15.

A day earlier, a German government representative told Sospilny that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz would personally open the Munich Security Conference and deliver a speech on Friday, February 13. After that, he is scheduled to have bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event, including with US Secretary of State Rubio and Ukrainian President Zelensky.

On February 10, the head of state confirmed Ukraine's participation in the Munich Security Conference, but did not say whether he would be there in person.

Zelenskyy last visited Germany in December 2025. He led a Ukrainian delegation that then held two-day talks with US representatives to further discuss a “peace plan” to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The Munich Security Conference has been held in the Bavarian capital of Munich in the winter since 1963. This year's conference will be the 62nd and will run from February 13 to 15.
