'I don't like bombing': Trump says US is negotiating ceasefire with Russia
Trump told reporters about this during a flight on Air Force One on Sunday, Ukrinform reports, citing Associated Press.
“We are negotiating with Russia. We would like them to stop. I don't like the bombings – they go on and on. Thousands of young people are dying every week,” Trump said, answering a question about the ongoing negotiations with Russia and potential steps toward peace.
He reiterated his claim that the war would not have happened if he had been president earlier.

On April 4, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on a residential area in Kryvyi Rih, killing 19 people, including nine children, and injuring 74. Later that night, the city was hit by drone strikes, killing one person and injuring seven others.
On April 6, it became known that a 57-year-old man who was injured as a result of a rocket attack died in hospital.
On the night of April 6, Russian troops launched a combined missile and drone offensive against Ukraine, using air, land and sea-based missiles, as well as attack UAVs. Damage from the attacks was recorded in the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Mykolaiv regions.
