Hungary is the only EU country that did not sign a joint statement of over 50 countries condemning Russian activity in the UN Security Council and supporting Ukraine.

That’s according to an Ukrinform correspondent in New York.

Among the EU member states, only Hungary delegated its foreign minister, Peter Szijjártó, to attend the ministerial-level event chaired by Russia’s t diplomat Sergei Lavrov.

It should be noted that only a small number of ministers were present at the event.

Among the Security Council members, only Switzerland was represented at the ministerial level. Among the non-members of the Security Council, Hungary, Iran, Libya, and Kuwait delegated their ministers. Belarus and Thailand were represented at the level of deputy ministers.
