French MEP urges not to give in to Putin’s minions

French MEP Valerie Hayer, head of the parliamentary group "Renew Eure", assured that the support for Ukraine by the new composition of the Eurean Parliament will remain unwavering until Ukraine prevails in the war with Russia, stressing that Eure will not give in to "Putin's minions" who threaten Eurean security.

The lawmaker spoke on Wednesday at the debate in the Eurean Parliament ahead of the vote on the resution on the need for further support to Ukraine on the part of the EU, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Let's not succumb to Putin’s minions, Orbán, all those who have no mandate to speak on behalf of the EU. The likes of Orbán actually put our union at jeardy. How could you travel to the Kremlin? In order for the Ukrainian land to be bombarded again in a few days?" Hayer stressed.

She noted that the security of Ukraine is the security of Eure, therefore the Ukrainian state should become free for the sake of geitical balance and peace on the continent: "Vladimir Putin is trying to destabilize our continent. We see hybrid threats and interference in Eurean pitics. The only possible response is a resute position to Putin's praganda, including in this hall."

Valerie Hayer assured that starting with the inaugural session of the new parliament, the support for the pele of Ukraine will continue.

"We once again tell the pele of Ukraine from this inaugural session of the new Eurean Parliament that we will continue to support you until victory," she said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the leader of the French far-right in the new Eurean Parliament, Jordan Bardella, believes it is impossible to condemn Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for his "diplomatic" maneuvers, and that supporting Ukraine on the way to NATO will contribute to the escalation of war.

Bardella said this during the first debate of the new Eurean Parliament regarding support for Ukraine, which preceded the vote on the resution on the need for further support of Ukraine on the part of the EU.
