Foreign ministers of G7 countries agree to bster Ukraine’s air defense

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven countries, chaired by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, on December 22 held a virtual exchange of views, primarily on the situation in Ukraine and further assistance to it.

The diplomat td this to journalists in Berlin on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We as the G7 have made it absutely clear once again today that we will not st supporting Ukraine neither during the hidays nor in the new year as long as Russia is waging this illegal, brutal war of aggression," Baerbock said.

According to her, the priority now is to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, because every missile that hits means less light for Ukrainians.

"That's why we agreed today during the G7 virtual meeting to intensify our coeration in the field of air defense, because air defense saves lives," Baerbock said.

She clarified that the issue concerned the supply of air defense systems and ammunition for them.
