Foreign Minister Sibikha: Ukraine felt strong support from NATO allies in Brussels
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha during a meeting with journalists in Brussels on Friday, as reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.
“The conclusion I want to make after my bilateral meetings and participation in the meeting of NATO foreign ministers is that we are not alone. We have strong support, and this unity is becoming even stronger. A striking example of this is the creation of the “Rezute Coalition” with the support of Great Britain and France. We also hope that after the election cycle in Germany, it will begin to play an important and significant role in these processes, as it should be for a country like Germany,” the Ukrainian minister noted.
He stressed that he supported the statements of almost every minister at the Ukraine-NATO Council, as each of them expressed the partners' readiness to support Ukraine and take on new commitments in this difficult time. According to the Ukrainian official, these commitments will soon be transformed into specific assistance packages for Ukraine to strengthen its defense capabilities.
“I emphasized that (Ukraine's) membership in NATO cannot be excluded from our agenda. There was a deep discussion with a clear understanding of the future security structure and the need to provide Ukraine with a package of security guarantees,” Sibikha said.

He recalled that Ukraine accepted and supported the American side's proposal to introduce an unconditional temporary ceasefire. At the same time, the Russian side continues to delay and manipulate this proposal and rejects the proposed ways to achieve a fair peace.
“We see Russia's response. It is now absolutely clear that it is Russia that is an obstacle to peace, it is Russia that is interested in continuing the war, it is Putin who seeks to continue Russian aggression,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
