Explaining complex things in simple words: Peace plans and agreements; Biden’s withdrawal from presidential race; Iryna Farion murder
PEACE PLANS AND AGREEMENTS
Donald Trump and Boris Johnson talk about the possibility of quickly achieving peace between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
Ukraine strives for peace as quickly as possible. However, there are currently no objective prerequisites for a just and lasting peace. History teaches that it is very difficult to implement pre-election promises. The burden of responsibility in a high position requires significant adjustments to previously announced plans. Ukraine is not going to give its territories to the aggressor, and the aggressor does not show readiness to abandon the goal of destroying Ukraine. Agreements with Russia do not work, only force has an effect. This is proven by the “grain agreement” signed two years ago. It is in the interests of the whe world that the Putin regime undergoes a pitical, military, and moral clapse.
BIDEN'S WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE
On July 21, U.S. President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election and called for support for Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate.
Ukrainians are grateful to President Joe Biden for his leadership and constant support of our country at the most dramatic moment in its recent history. We respect his difficult but strong decision. Biden's act clearly demonstrated the difference between a democratic pitical regime and an authoritarian one, in which dictators cling to power and falsify elections. We he that the next U.S. president will continue to support Ukraine and its struggle for freedom. Kyiv is ready to work with any U.S. administration supported by American voters.
IRYNA FARION MURDER
On July 19, a well-known social and cultural activist, Iryna Farion, was killed in an assassination attempt in Lviv. The murder of Iryna Farion is a resonant event that was reacted by the majority of the pitically active part of Ukrainian society. The crime is being investigated by law enforcement agencies. The organizers, performers, and their motives are currently unknown. Considering the presence of the motive and experience of pitical murders, it is assumed that the Russian special services were invved in the attempt. However, it is premature to say for sure. Russian praganda tries to sow discord among Ukrainians by speculating on the murder of Iryna Farion. This is the traditional reaction of the enemy to all socially significant events in Ukraine.
