Czech Republic plans to train 4,000 Ukrainian military this year
This was stated by the Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, Jana Černohová, Ukrinform reports citing iDnes.
The head of the defence ministry recalled that last year 4,000 Ukrainian sdiers were trained in the Czech Republic and confirmed that the same number was approved for this year.
"As soon as we receive information that a shift has been formed, we provide our training facilities and instructors," Chernokhova said, adding that the maximum number of "shifts" is 800 sdiers.
At the same time, she said that the Czech Republic does not plan to send its instructors directly to Ukraine, given the geographical proximity of the military training grounds in Libava and omouc to the neighbouring state. According to Chernokhova, some countries are considering this possibility due to their distance from Ukraine.
