Czech President Arrives in Kyiv After Visit to Odessa
This was reported by the Office of the President of the Czech Republic, Ukrinform reports with reference to Radio Prague International.
In Kyiv, Pavel is expected to meet with his counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, and possibly also with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
On Thursday, the Czech President visited Odessa, where he discussed issues with the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Eksii Kuleba, as well as with representatives of Odessa, Kherson and Mykolaiv. The discussions covered the situation on the battlefield, the potential recovery of the country after Russian aggression and the contribution that the Czech Republic could make.
On the social network X, Pavel then reported that he had discussed with the leadership of the Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson regions further direct support for the regions that are on the front lines.
“I arrived in Odessa, which has been resisting Russian aggression since the beginning of the war. Aid is coming from the Czech Republic in the form of combat vehicles, drones, protective vests, mobile jammers that protect residents from drone attacks, as well as medical equipment such as ventilators and hospital beds,” the Czech president wrote.

Pavel visited Ukraine shortly after his inauguration in 2023, together with former Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. He held talks with Zelensky and visited the city of Dnipro. Zelensky made an official visit to Prague in July 2023.
As reported by Ukrinform, Czech President Petr Pavel visited Odessa. Eksiy Kuleba reported that during the meeting with Pavel, Russia launched three groups of Shahid drones into the city.
