Czech PM: ER must be strong

The ER must be powerful and therefore willing to provide financial resources and weapons to ensure security on the continent.

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced this on the X TV channel before leaving for the EU leaders' summit in London, Ukrinform reports.

“Era must take responsibility for its own security, because our ultimate goal is a just and stable peace that cannot be ignored or questioned,” the head of the Czech government noted.

Therefore, according to the Prime Minister, two steps must be taken. First, to provide Ukraine with even greater military support and ensure its long-term strength. At the same time, the EU must focus on strengthening its economy, competitiveness, defense capabilities and security. This means, for example, increasing defense spending to at least 3% of GDP and bringing defense investment in Europe closer to the levels of the United States.

“The era must be strong. Strength implies the ability to allocate funds and weapons,” Fiala emphasizes.

He noted that he was flying to London for a summit of “countries that take the security of the Era seriously.”

On Sunday, March 2, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will gather more than a dozen European leaders to discuss the situation with aid to Ukraine, it was reported.
