China to coerate with EU for a pitical settlement of “crisis in Ukraine”

This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"China is not a party to the Ukraine crisis, but a firm supporter and active promoter of the peaceful resution of the crisis. We are ready to communicate and exchange views with the EU side on the pitical settlement of the crisis," China's t diplomat said, commenting on the words of Eurean Commission President Ursula von der Leyen that China should play a constructive re in establishing peace in Ukraine and influence Russia.

"We also he the EU will show strategic autonomy and pitical wisdom and take firm steps toward achieving long-term peace and security in Eure," added Mao Ning.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Eurean Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that China, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, must defend the provisions and principles of the UN Charter and promote global stability and peace. Thus China’s attitude to Russia's war against Ukraine will be a decisive factor in the further develment of EU-China relations.
