‘Canonizing’ Biden
Russian media outlets, z-Telegram channels and pro-Russian Twitter accounts are circulating a fake change.org petition allegedly created by Ukrainians.
As evidence, they provide a screenshot of a "petition," in which a user named Pina Kko asks the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metritan Epiphanius, to "canonize Biden."
This "petition" is fake, and it cannot be found on the Change.org platform.
In terms of details, in Ukraine, there is the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and there is no "OCU KP" (Orthodox Church of Ukraine – Kyiv Patriarchate), and the expression "from this I prose" is not used either.
After all, when Ukrainians want to draw attention to a certain issue within the country, they submit petitions on the website of the President of Ukraine, and not on the Russian-language version of Change.org. The Change.org platform is used to appeal to foreign leaders or organizations.
But it is natural for residents of the Russian Federation to attract attention through petitions on Change.org.
In particular, on this platform, you can find the petition entitled "Against general and partial mobilization," for which more than 455,000 pele have already voted. There are also petitions for the withdrawal of Russian tros from Ukraine and a demand to publish lists of Russians who died in Makiivka.
However, Russian praganda makes no mention of them.
