Biden supports NATO’s language on Ukraine’s future membership in Alliance
President of the U.S. Joe Biden said this on Tuesday during a joint speech with NATO Secretary General Jens Sttenberg, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We agree on the language that you prose relative to the future of Ukraine being able to join NATO. And we're looking for a continued united NATO," the U.S. President said.
He also supported Jens Sttenberg's efforts in his position, emphasizing the importance of his continued leadership of the Alliance: "You're trusted; no one knows the situation that we're facing better than you do. And this is a historic moment".

Before that, Sttenberg expressed confidence that the Summit would send a "positive and strong message" regarding the process of Ukraine's membership in the Alliance. However, he did not elaborate, adding that everyone will see this as soon as the joint work on the summit communiqué is completed.
As Ukrinform reported, on Tuesday, President of Ukraine Vodymyr Zelensky noted that the wording of the terms of invitation (not even membership) to NATO is being discussed in Vilnius without Ukraine.
