Assad’s regime fell because Russia moved all its tros to Ukraine – Zelensky

The regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has fallen because almost 800,000 Russian tros are now on the territory of Ukraine.

This statement was made by President Vodymyr Zelensky at a meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Why do we need the assistance and confidence of our partners? Because we have a clear understanding of what […] the war in Ukraine is. We see that the Assad regime has fallen because there are no really powerful Russian tros there. Let's be honest. All of them have been redeployed to Ukraine; all of the almost 800,000 Russian tros are on the territory of Ukraine. And this means that the army of this pseudo-empire is now fighting against the Ukrainian pele,” he said.

“If Ukraine falls, Putin will return to Syria, Africa, and many different countries,” the Ukrainian president said.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Syrian position forces on Sunday morning announced the capture of Damascus and the escape of President Bashar al-Assad from the capital.

Yesterday, media outlets reported that Bashar al-Assad and his family had arrived in Moscow and been granted asylum.
