O.Torvald band and solo project
Halych loved music since childhood. When he was 15 years old, he played in the band “Kruty! Pedali”. In 2005, Yevhen Halych, Denys Mizyuk, Oleksandr Nechyporenko and Ihor Odaryuk created the band O.Torvald. For those who didn't know, the name comes from the Russian word “отрываться”, although years later the frontman said that he would like to change it.
The debut album was released in 2008, but the real breakthrough came with the second album, called “In You”.

In 2017, when Ukraine was responsible for hosting Eurovision on its territory after Jamala's victory in 2016, our country was represented by the band O.Torvald.
Unfortunately, the European audience did not appreciate the rock band's performance highly. They were awarded only 36 points from the national jury and the audience. Then Ukraine took 24th place.

Personal life
The singer's wife is called Valeria. At the time of their acquaintance, the girl was in a relationship with another man, so Galich decided not to break up this union, but to simply remain friends. But still, love broke out between them.
The wedding took place in 2009. Four years later, their daughter Eva was born, and a little later, their son Danylo.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Valeria has gone abroad with her children and does not plan to return until the war is over. Galich himself said last year that the family still plans to return to Ukraine.
Since Danylo entered the sports class and this is his first class, we cannot interrupt his studies at any point. Therefore, we decided that this year he will definitely study in Poland, and next year we will plan for him to return to Ukraine and achieve victories in sports life here,

How did Galich insult the singer Drevo?
The band's frontman took part in the show “Critics”. Galich said that the track “Emerald Sky”, which became a real hit, is actually “s**t”. He claimed that apart from the chorus, which easily gets stuck in your head, there is nothing special in the composition.
Tina Karol came to the defense of the young singer, saying that it is wrong to belittle the work of other artists.
In a comment to OBOZ.UA, Zhenya admitted that he had spoken too harshly. Drevo himself admitted on “Nashe Radio” that he had not intended to respond to Galich's criticism, let alone start a conflict.
Does Zhenya Galich serve in the army?
With the beginning of a full-scale war, the singer volunteered. Later he joined the 135th battalion of the 114th separate brigade of territorial defense. In 2024 he was in the hospital. Galich himself said that he had “a lot of sores.”
In the same year, in an interview with Channel 24, the frontman said that he was seconded to the city of Kyiv, where he was engaged in logistical support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but he could not reveal any more details.
