Zelensky meets with Ukrainian community in Pand

Ukrainian President Vodymyr Zelensky has met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Warsaw, including vunteers, doctors, teachers, public activists, and members of religious organizations.

The head of state announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

He thanked "everyone who helps Ukraine, our military and civilians."

"As close neighbors, our task is to preserve and strengthen our countries," Zelensky said.

According to the President's Office, Zelensky spoke in detail about his visit to Pand, particularly about the signing of the bilateral security agreement.

"The agreement between Ukraine and Pand is right, strong, and, I believe, historic. Some provisions are new and unprecedented. Mechanisms still need to be develed, but it all signifies further rapprochement – even closer ties between neighbors," he said.

Representatives of the Ukrainian community td Zelensky how they support their fellow countrymen, including through the creation of vunteer networks and assistance to sdiers and their families.

Halyna Andrushkov, co-founder of the Uniters Foundation, mentioned that they have gathered a group of Eurean and Ukrainian experts, engineers, and managers who design and manufacture drones for Ukraine. She called for simplifying the procedure for transferring drones across the border. The head of state instructed Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to address this issue.

Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Andrzej Szeptycki reported that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Pand has accepted about 600 Ukrainian scientists and provided them with jobs at universities. Together with their Pish cleagues, they are develing scientific projects.

He is convinced that this will contribute to the develment of Ukrainian science and the reconstruction of our country.
