Vyshyvanka Day: President Zelensky wears special shirt
President Vodymyr Zelensky wrote this on Telegram, publishing a selfie in an embroidered shirt, Ukrinform reports.
"This year there are two meanings united by one date, May 18. 79 years ago on this day, the Soviet authorities began to deport the Crimean Tatar. The nation which was wanted to be erased, deprived of its home, deprived the right to life. But the pele survived. And will live freely! Today I am wearing a special embroidered shirt with ornaments that symbize the unity of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar peles. Symbs of our strength and our desire to live in our home," Zelensky said.
