Eurovision provokes a lot of discussion every year around the performances, productions and results of the contest. 2026 was no exception – social networks are actively discussing the medley in the interval act at the final of the song contest.
After the performances of all the participants of Eurovision-2026, the stars of the song contest appeared on stage. They performed their biggest hits. The video of the interval act appeared on the Eurovision YouTube channel.
Eurofans noticed that some moments of the celebrities' performances were missing from the cut. In particular, the editors cut out the final part, when Verka Serduchka sang Domenico Modugno's hit Volare (Nel blu, dipinto di blu) a cappella. The audience of thousands loudly sang along to the artist – and this moment moved many.
Interestingly, they also cut out a moment with the song Espresso Macchiato, which caused a scandal at Eurovision last year.

In the comments, fans are outraged that a sensual moment with Verka Serdyuchka was removed from the video. The star is also called the real “boss of Eurovision.”
- “They cut Volare with Verka Serdyuchka at the end, when the whole audience was singing along. It's unfair”;
- “Where is the excerpt where Verka Serdyuchka sings Volare with the audience? Please upload the full version, it was the best part!”;
- “Why did you cut the final part with Verka Serdyuchka and Volare? It was incredible!”;
- “You cut out the best part”;
- “Where is Volare?”;
- “We need the full version! You cut out what people come back here for”;
- “Where is the piece where Verka Serduchka sings with the people?”
- “Verka deserves more screen time.”

It should be noted that this moment remained in the full recording of the live broadcast of the Eurovision 2026 grand final.
How did Andriy Danylko comment on the situation?
The artist did not escape the scandal, his press service reported. The artist thanked his European fans for their sincere reaction and support.
Of course, I would like everyone to be able to watch the full performance, not a cut fragment. But I am glad that at least thousands of spectators in the hall saw the number live and sang along with us. I understand that the organizers did not want to offend us, they have their own vision, their own conditions. But I do not understand why they would invite, as they say, “the icon of Eurovision”, and not show her…
– Andriy Danylko was surprised.
The artist admitted that he could not influence the situation. But it became a lesson for him: if you agree to participate in such events, then you should agree on all the details in advance.
The team said that there is a positive aspect to this: Andriy Danylko decided to contact the copyright holders of the song Volare and negotiate permission for the cover.
“I would be very happy to record the full version of Volare and, if I'm lucky, give this song a new life. For me, the most valuable thing is when people laugh, cry, and feel warm nostalgia at our concerts,” the artist shared.
