Unlawfully convicted Crimean Tatar Dzheparov ends his term in Russian prison
"This day has come: I’ve been set free. Now we are near penal cony VK-16. I was very glad to see my brothers when I went outside. I cannot describe my emotions for seven years. This feeling is very exciting, I worry so much. Now we will wait for others," Dzheparov said, the Crimean Sidarity association posted on Facebook.
Arsen Dzheparov was met by his lawyer Edem Semedliayev near the penal facility. He will accompany Dzheparov to the temporarily occupied Crimea.
As reported, on November 12, 2016, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced the defendants in the Yalta "Hizb ut-Tahrir case": Muslim Alev – to 19 years in prison, Inver Bekirov – 18 years, Emir-Usein Kuku and Vadym Siruk –12 years, Refat Alimov – 8 years, and Arsen Dzhepparov – 7 years.
Amnesty International recognized all six defendants as prisoners of conscience and called to join the campaign for their release.
