Ukraine’s Health Ministry reports 156 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths as of Thursday morning

The number of new cases confirmed in the past day was 43.

Ukraine’s Health Ministry has reported 156 confirmed COVID-19 cases and five deaths as of 10:00 Kyiv time on Thursday morning.

“As of 10:00 on March 26, there were 156 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine, of which five were fatal. One patient recovered and has already been discharged from hospital,” the ministry’s press service said on March 26.

The number of new cases confirmed in the past day was 43, it added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the number of deaths from the novel coronavirus originating from China’s Wuhan has risen to 21,308 people. As of March 26, there were 472,109 cases in total confirmed globally, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.
