“According to the Public Health Center, there were to 4,662 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:30 Kyiv time on April 17,” Ukraine’s Health Ministry said on Facebook in its morning update on April 17.
Of them, 501 cases were reported in the past 24 hours.
The novel coronavirus has been reported in the following regions: 296 cases in Vinnytsia region; 122 in Volyn region; 89 in Dnipropetrovsk region; 12 in Donetsk region; 177 in Zhytomyr region; 150 in Zakarpattia; 118 in Zaporizhia region; 427 in Ivano-Frankivsk region; 218 in Kirovohrad region; 705 in the city of Kyiv; 253 in Kyiv region; 203 in Lviv region; nine cases in Luhansk region; 22 cases in Mykolayiv region; 93 in Odesa region; 41 in Poltava region; 240 in Rivne region; 81 in Sumy region; 353 in Ternopil region; 56 cases in Kharkiv region, 51 in Kherson region; 38 in Khmelnytsky region; 759 in Chernivtsi region; 137 in Cherkasy region; 12 cases in Chernihiv region.
Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.

The tests were conducted with the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the Public Health Center’s virological reference laboratory and regional laboratories.
In total, there have been 15,448 reports on suspected COVID-19 since the beginning of 2020.
A total of 125 COVID-19 deaths have already been recorded in the country. Some 246 patients have recovered.
