“According to the Public Health Center, there were 6,125 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 a.m. Kyiv time on April 21,” the Ukrainian Health Ministry said on Facebook on Tuesday. “Of them, 161 were lethal cases, 367 patients have recovered. Some 415 new cases were recorded in the past day.”

As of now the coronavirus has been recorded in the following regions: Vinnytsia region (338 cases); Volyn region (174); Dnipropetrovsk region (122); Donetsk region (16); Zhytomyr region (270); Zakarpattia region (205); Zaporizhia region (137); Ivano-Frankivsk region (556); Kirovohrad region (247); the city of Kyiv (892); Kyiv region (356); Lviv region (256); Luhansk region (25); Mykolaiv region (41); Odesa region (146); Poltava region (101); Rivne region (341); Sumy region (84); Ternopil region (435); Kharkiv region (77); Kherson region (70); Khmelnytsky region (49); Chernivtsi region (988); Cherkasy region (186); and Chernihiv region (13).
Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.
Tests were conducted with the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the Public Health Center’s virological reference laboratory and regional laboratories.
In total, there have been 18,532 reports on suspected COVID-19 since the beginning of 2020.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 5,710 laboratory-confirmed cases, including 151 deaths, in Ukraine as of 09:30 Kyiv time on April 20. Of them, 261 cases were newly confirmed.
