When a star's relationship breaks down, it almost always becomes the number one topic for discussion on the Internet. The public closely follows every detail, and any statements from former partners are instantly spread in the media. Recently, a public conflict between the former and current wives of TV presenter Volodymyr Ostapchuk caused a wide resonance.
However, this is not an isolated case in Ukrainian show business when a breakup turns into a loud scandal. Why did the divorce of Volodymyr Ostapchuk and notary's daughter Khrystyna Gornyak become so public, as well as what other star breakups were accompanied by public conflicts – see further in the material of Channel 24.
Tensions between the former and current wives of Volodymyr Ostapchuk resurfaced after the showman's house was damaged by a massive Russian missile attack. The TV presenter purchased the property while married to Gornyak and could not share it for several years. In March 2025, Volodymyr and Khrystyna were able to reach a compromise, deciding to sell the house and divide the proceeds from the sale in half. However, at the end of 2025, Kateryna Ostapchuk reported that the sale of the cottage was being complicated by the position of the showman's former wife. According to her, Gornyak set a price that was too high and refused to make concessions.
Amidst the property dispute, Khrystyna made a number of high-profile statements about her relationship with the TV presenter. The woman noted on Instagram that she had suffered emotional abuse for three years. She claims that she was subjected to emotional pressure during the marriage. In a state of alcoholic intoxication, her husband could allegedly insult her, hit her on the walls, throw things and kick her out of the house. She also hinted at betrayals, which, according to her, she decided to forgive at one time.

Instead, Kateryna Poltavska came to her husband's defense. She assures that Volodymyr did not cheat, did not use physical violence and fully provided for his former family. All of Khrystyna's accusations, according to her, are slander and an attempt to ruin his reputation. In addition, Kateryna denied the assumption that their relationship began even before Ostapchuk and Gornyak divorced. She stated that in July 2022, it was Khrystyna who initiated the breakup, in September the couple filed for divorce, and later a relationship began between her and Ostapchuk.
For context! Volodymyr Ostapchuk has been married three times. Khrystyna Gornyak is his second wife, whom they married in October 2020, and Kateryna Poltavska is the showman's third wife.
We should add that Volodymyr Ostapchuk's first marriage also ended in scandal. In 2007, the presenter married Olena Voichenko. The couple has two children – daughter Emilia and son Evan-Olexander. The couple was together for over 10 years, but in 2020 it became known about their divorce.
The reason for the breakup, according to Voychenko, was her husband's betrayal. She spoke about this in the program “Star Path” on the channel “Ukraine”. Olena noted that at that time Ostapchuk was not ready for family life. She also stated that among the women with whom her husband cheated on her was allegedly Khrystyna Gornyak – later Volodymyr's second wife.

However, Khrystyna denied these accusations. After that, the former spouses repeatedly made loud statements about each other in interviews and on social networks. There were also public quarrels between Olena Voychenko and Khrystyna Gornyak. In the end, in 2023, Volodymyr noted that his relationship with his first ex-wife had improved and he communicates with their children.

Viktor Rozovyi and Olga Merzlikina
Last year, the entire Internet discussed the breakup of the “League of Laughter” star and military man Viktor Rozov and model and blogger Olga Merzlikina. The couple got married in March 2024, and in May 2025 it became known about their divorce. At first, Viktor and Olga refrained from public comments on the reasons for the divorce, but in August, Rozov unexpectedly gave a big interview to Ramina Eshakzai, where he said that he was not satisfied with intimate relations with his wife and that he did not love her at all. The man also said that he had cheated on his chosen one three times. The first time this happened in 2019 and twice during a full-scale invasion. “This is very much not my person. I did not want to be with her. I do not regret a single betrayal. I only cheated on one person, because, in my opinion, she deserved it, no matter how tragic it may sound,” said Rozov. The comedian told about the first betrayal himself, and Merzlikina learned about the other two after seeing photos with other women on his phone. Sasha Bo and Igor Pustovit
At one time, the breakup of bloggers Sasha Bo and Igor Pustovit also became public. After Alexander's breakup, in an interview with Masha Efrosinina, she stated that she was in an abusive relationship. According to her, her husband often belittled, insulted, and psychologically pressured her. She also claimed that her husband was blackmailing her, calling him “her biggest hater.” The blogger said that she tried to leave the family seven times, but returned each time. Only after the eighth attempt did the couple make the final decision to divorce. Later, Igor Pustovit also publicly commented on the situation and voiced his own version of events in an interview with Slava Demin on the YouTube channel “Radio Lux”. The husband stated that he himself had repeatedly encountered insults from his wife. As Igor said, Sasha often broke down, screamed, and would not stay home alone with the children because she could not control her own emotions.
