Briefly about the band As I Lay Dying

  • As I Lay Dying was formed in 2001 by former Society's Finest guitarist Tim Lambesis. Initially a trio, the band was later joined by guitarist Evan White and drummer Jordan Mancino.

  • The band's debut album, Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes, was released in June 2001 and was quite successful.

  • As I Lay Dying suspended its activities in 2014 due to the imprisonment of Tim Lambesis. The musician was arrested in May 2013 for attempting to organize the contract killing of his wife. At first he denied the charges, but later pleaded guilty. The man was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

  • The remaining members formed the band Wovenwar, and reunited in 2018.

  • Tim Lambesis was released from prison early in 2016.
