Some 560 children remaining in war-affected Kupiansk community, 18 evacuated

A total of 560 children are remaining in the Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk community, which is continuously affected by Russian attacks.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, referring to Kupiansk City Military Administration Head Andrii Besedin, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Under the aegis of Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head eh Syniehubov, we have managed to evacuate 18 children, accompanied by adults, from dangerous areas to Kharkiv. A total of 560 children and teenagers are remaining in the community. Evacuation efforts continue,” Besedin td.

On April 7, 2023, those evacuated left for the Rivne region. According to Besedin, children and adults will be accommodated in a sanatorium. They will be provided with food, rehabilitation efforts, psychogical aid, health services, and the full range of social services offered by the state.

Kharkiv regional authorities expressed he that parents remaining in the de-occupied and war-affected areas would show understanding and help to evacuate their children to safer areas.

A reminder that hostilities are underway in the Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk district. Twenty-nine settlements are remaining seized by Russian tros. Three settlements are located within the grey zone. The de-occupied areas are affected by enemy attacks on a daily basis.
