There are many rumors about Sofia Rotaru's whereabouts and position. Some say she has left for Italy, but her sister, Aurika Rotaru, assures that the singer lives in Ukraine. Today it became known why the artist does not perform and avoids publicity.
Aurika gave an interview to the publication “Glavkom”. The singer shared that she and Sofia are always in touch. In addition, Russian producer and concert director Sergei Lavrov also made a statement to Russian media about the singer, where he explained why the performer refuses concerts.
There is a possibility – we meet. Walk around the area, breathe fresh air, talk about our relatives. In general, about everything. Because this is a family. There is no possibility – on the phone: “How are you? How was the night? How was yours, was it quiet? And yours, was it loud?”,

The People's Artist of Ukraine noted that, unfortunately, she and Sofia do not see each other often, in particular because of Aurika's preparations for the concert and constant air traffic alerts.

Sofia Rotaru's younger sister also explained why she doesn't want to talk about her. Aurika believes that everyone should do it for themselves.

As for performances, Lavrov said that Sofia Nikolaevna recently refused to perform in Dubai, where she was offered a fee of 200 thousand euros. The Russian producer says that this is a conscious position of the artist.
Now they were offering 200 thousand euros for five songs. It was a performance in Dubai. She refused. She says: “While the fighting is going on, it's not the time for concerts,”
