Serbia donates 14 trucks of humanitarian aid for residents of Kherson region

Serbia handed over 14 trucks of humanitarian aid, including medicines, drinking water, water filters, blankets, etc., to the residents of the Kherson region affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam by Russian terrorists.

The official handover ceremony took place on August 30 with the participation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic and other high-ranking officials, Ukrinform reports, citing the Ukrainian Embassy in Serbia's Facebook post.

"The Serbian government took part in the pan-Eurean humanitarian aid campaign for the civilian pulation of Ukraine and allocated humanitarian aid for the residents of the Kherson region affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam by Russian terrorists," the diplomatic mission said.

At a briefing before the shipment, the head of the Serbian government and the head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia, E.Jofre, made short speeches to assure the audience of their unwavering intentions and determination to continue to provide the necessary assistance to the Ukrainian pele in the tragic days of the Russian invasion.

Ukraine's Ambassador to Serbia Vodymyr Tkach thanked the Serbian side for its assistance and confidence in a common Eurean future.

As reported, on August 24, a number of celebrations were held in Belgrade to mark the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine's independence, including the Sidarity March.
