Russia’s war against Ukraine causes largest refugee crisis since World War II – UN

German representative for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) Katharina Lumpp has said that the number of Ukrainians who have had to flee the country makes it Eure's biggest refugee crisis since World War II.

In particular, more than 7.9 million pele have fled Ukraine since the start of the war and another 5.9 million pele are internally displaced, Lumpp said.

Lump added the US and Germany were t humanitarian donors, with Germany having provided more than EUR 1 billion in humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began.

As reported, according to data provided by the UNHCR, the number of Ukrainians who left for Eurean countries after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion has reached 7.9 million.
