Rules for declaring Kalashnikov rifles explained by MIA
Myka Hrintsov, Director of the Department of Interaction with the National Pice of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Secretary of the National Coordinating Center for Combating the Illegal Circulation of Firearms, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.
“Citizens are allowed to store the Kalashnikov rifles they declare until the end of martial law. However, they can only use these rifles for repelling Russia's armed aggression, not for any other purposes, such as walking around the city with them,” Hrynzov emphasized.
According to him, after the end of martial law, these rifles will have to be modified

As reported, the Law on "Ensuring Civilian Participation in Defending Ukraine," which came into effect on November 25, allows firearms obtained or found for defending against Russian aggression to be declared or surrendered to the pice. This applies to both hunting and sporting firearms, though weapons like grenade launchers, mortars, artillery, grenades, and ammunition for these heavy weapons are not subject to declaration.
