PM Shmyhal visits clinics in Kherson region subjected to enemy strikes

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal of Ukraine visited a number of healthcare facilities in Kherson region.

The head of the government reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

"We saw the conditions of treatment in medical facilities in Kherson region. Hospitals are constantly under enemy fire, buildings get damaged and medics get injured. It was an honor for me to present valuable gifts and congratulate these brave pele on the upcoming Medic Day. Thank you for your professionalism and conscientious work," said Shmyhal.

He noted that in order to strengthen safety measures, the government allocated a subvention for constructing in the basement of one of the hospitals a modern erating theater and intensive care wards.

"We reviewed the process of implementing the project. Work was launched recently and is scheduled to be completed this fall. We also saw power equipment that guarantees uninterrupted electricity supply. Among the nine hospitals in Kherson region, emergency heat supply is provided in eight, emergency wells – in five, emergency power supply – in all nine," said the Prime Minister.

According to the head of government, in general, 31 war-affected healthcare facilities have been fully restored by joint efforts. Another 37 have been partially restored. The effort to set up modular dispensaries in individual communities is in progress.

As reported, on July 18, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 1.3 billion to the Ministry of Health for the restoration of healthcare facilities affected during hostilities.

Today, July 25, the head of the Ukrainian government is on a trip to Kherson region. He inspected the process of construction of fortifications across the region, visited educational facilities, and held a field meeting of the government.
