On February 15, former Minister of Energy and Justice Herman Galushchenko was detained while attempting to cross the state border. The very next day, he was informed of suspicion of legalizing funds stolen to protect the country's energy sector in the Midas case.
According to the prosecution, one of the episodes of legalization could have been paying for his children's education in Switzerland. The probable amount of funds considered legalized exceeds 400 million hryvnias. On February 17, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for Galushchenko – he was taken into custody for 60 days with the right to post bail in the amount of 200 million hryvnias.
Against this background, public attention is focused not only on the Galushchenko case, but also on his family. The official himself rarely commented on his personal life, but from his declarations it is known that he was married and has four children. The declaration that the high-ranking official filed in 2021 lists his wife, Olga Ihorivna Bogdanova. However, in the document filed in the spring of 2025, her name is no longer mentioned. From this, we can assume that the couple is no longer together.
Who is Olga Bogdanova?
She was born in Kyiv to an engineer and a doctor. During her school years, Olga actively searched for herself: she changed schools, tried various hobbies – from tennis and horseback riding to skydiving, and eventually became an architectural designer.
Architecture and design found me and I immediately knew it was for me. It combined my father's engineering background and my love of drawing.

The woman received her higher education at the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. In her third year, Olga started working, so by the sixth year she already had a diverse portfolio. So she and her partner decided to create their own bureau 2B.Group. In 2018, Olga Bogdanova and Slava Balbek divided their activities and created two separate studios: balbek bureau and Bogdanova Bureau. She shared these details in an interview with Pragmatika.media.

After the Revolution of Dignity, Olga and her team launched Prostir86, a platform for the promotion of Ukrainian object design. They organized events, exhibitions, and participated in international events, including Bologna Design Week and Paris Design Week. This movement was actively developing until it was stopped by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In November of this year, Bogdanova Bureau changed its name to Bogdanova Architects, where Olga works as the chief architect and art director. The Bogdanova Architects website states that Bogdanova develops projects internationally.
In addition to her business, Olga also raises three children. Bogdanova became a mother at the age of 25. The first was born a son, Maksym. In addition to the boy, Olga and Herman Galushchenko have two more daughters together – Veronika and Stefaniya. Bogdanova gave birth to her second child when she was 28 years old, and the third – at 30.

Previously, the Instagram page indicated that the woman lives in Geneva, Switzerland. In addition to publications from abroad, she also posted photos and videos from Ukraine, but now Olga's page has become private.
She does not comment on the relationship either in interviews or on Instagram, or mentions it superficially. In September 2018, when Olga turned 35, she wrote: “I am an architect and curator of the coolest projects, I have 3 very beautiful children, I am a beloved wife and a happy woman.”

Our editorial team was unable to find any photos of Bogdanova and her husband together. She only occasionally posted photos with her daughters and son on social media.
We should add that in Herman Galushchenko's latest declaration, in addition to three children from Olga Bogdanova, he also mentions a son named Lev. His mother is currently unknown.
