The actor and comedian was born in Kryvyi Rih. He studied to be an underground engineer, but never worked in his specialty. At one time, he was the artistic director of the STEM “Bezpritulny”, where almost all the actors of “Kvartal 95” were among the participants. Pikalov also participated in KVC during his student years and was a member of the city team “Kryvyi Rih Shpana”. Acting and military service
Alexander was also a member of other teams, played in the leagues of the cities of Voronezh and Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro), participated in festivals in Sochi. However, in 1997, together with Volodymyr Zelensky and Denis Manzhosov, he created the team “95 Quarter”. Those who have followed the actor's activities know that he also played in several films, including those produced by the “95 Quarter” studio.

In 2018, the studio founded the comedy show “Women's Quarter”, and Pikalov became its artistic director.
When the full-scale war began, the man said that he helped people with medicine and food, and later swore an oath to the National Guard of Ukraine.
A few months after this news, Pikalov received an award from the president – the Order of Merit, III degree. But Ukrainians didn't like it, saying that Oleksandr had done nothing to deserve state awards.
Then the response from the President's Office was not long in coming, which stated the following.
“Numerous concerts and performances for Ukrainian servicemen in active military units in Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk region and other cities where hostilities are taking place (over 140 performances). Comprehensive volunteer support for our defenders, charity concerts in different countries of the world, the funds from which were transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, media activity to protect the interests of our state, etc. – these are all powerful media weapons on the information front, which are very important for our joint victory in this war,” the press service emphasized.
Interestingly, the comedian was almost never seen with a weapon in his hands or wearing military equipment. For a long time, he did not declassify where he was serving, but in 2024, People's Deputy Volodymyr Ar'yev stated that since February 28, 2022, Pikalov had served in military unit 3066, which is subordinate to the Northern Operational-Territorial Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Today, the comedian probably serves in the National Guard's image and publishing center.

Personal life
The comedian was married to Irina Pikalova for 18 years. In 2006, the former couple had a son, Mikhail, and in 2021, it became known about the divorce. Interestingly, the woman is also part of the “Quarter 95” studio.
